Yep it fits, I have an 84 and put a 92 skin on it.
I had to trim a little of the impact bumper off some, to make it fit over it. They were a different shape or something, so the skin wouldn't quite fit over it.
If you want to use the GFX, you'll need to a couple slots in your fender for the mounting.

I put a 92 skin with gfx on my 84 berlinetta. its been awhile but it went pretty smoothly. the only thing id recomend is to pay attention to where the the headlight area is. mine after a couple years shows the bumper brace. it kinda looks like a small hump on the flat portion of the skin where the headlights r.
As others have said, the "eggshell" is different on a 84 impact bar compared to a 85-92. It should be swapped as well so it supports the bumper cover correctly - but can be "made to fit".
nice this is good info, pics would help as i have a 84 berlinetta as well and plan on replacing the front with a RS or a Z28 front.
This is before and then after minus the ground fx i havn't put on yet. If you go with a bumper cover newer than 85' you have to use the newer ground effects with it, or it wont line up right, incase you were wondering.

Now that I have done it, its not that hard, i recommend it, i looks way better. it takes some time and some curse words, but its not hard. Theres 4 bolts on each side that go through the fender, 2 in the middle right on the nose and then the plastic bushings underneath, the 90' ones wont line up right on the car but you dont need them and no one sees them, you will also have to splice into your turn signal wires and rewire them for the new fixtures, but they are all color coded the same. make sure the bumper comes with the part that holds the turn signal bulb, because the ears are to big on the 84' bulb holders that it wont fit in. thats all i can think of, if you switch yours over, let me know how it went.
