How to remove ground effects off of 91 T/A? help!!!

Hey guys, I just got my first thirdgen on saturday and now it's time to start working on her and making her look good. It's a 1991 Trans Am convertible. It has some surface rust on the body near the bottom of the doors and I just want to remove the ground effects to make sure I have no unpleasant suprises. How do I take off the ones on the doors? I see that they're somehow clipped in or something (don't seem to be any screws) and I'm afraid to get at it without seeking advice first.

EDIT: Here's a link with pictures of the car and the album contains some closeups of the rust.

They attach to the door with studs on the back. You will need to remove the inner door panel to get at them. With the window up you will be able to see all the studs.

UGH that's so much work! Oh well, my driver's side window motor needs to be replaced anyway. But thanks for the tip! I actually saw the studs myself just outside the door panel since there are some exposed ones and I thought to myself, "but there's GOTTA be an easier way!!" Haha oh well.

Oh and I meant to add, are the studs reusable? If not, what do I ask for at the car parts store?
