These instructions will tell you how to disassemble your 86-87 pull-down or 88-91 pull-down unit. Once you've pulled the gear nut out of the clear plastic motor housing you'll need to turn the gear nut in a couple of turns. Then re-assemble the lift rod plate to the housing and reattach the reversing switch with the phillips-head screw.
