About to go NUTS taking this ground effect off!! help!
Hey guys, I've got a 91 T/A where I need to take off the ground effect running to both wheels (the center one). I've taken almost the whole thing off, but there's this last section right behind the driver's side front wheel that just won't come off. I took off all the screws. What gives?
Here's a couple pictures:

not sure about the birds but i know the camaros have nuts on the inside that you have to take off. take off the interior panel in that area and feel around on the back side.

Hmmm, well the part that is stuck is the one that's attached to the fender, no interior panels in there. I'm talking about the part in the first picture, I threw the second one in there just for the hell of it.

yeah, there are nuts. some behind the kick panel, you may have to remove the black rubber tape covering the hole in the chassis behind the kickpanel. The rear is the same deal, remove the panel that covers the seatbelt apparatus, remove the sticky black rubber thing and there is a hole in the chassis that you can get to the nuts through
Re: About to go NUTS taking this ground effect off!! help!
set in car , move lt. foot to the left , the panel it touches is the kick panel . it can be a small PITA once its off , depending on options . anyway then you should then access the nuts . good luck .
Re: About to go NUTS taking this ground effect off!! help!
OK so I did that but the only nuts I get to access are the ones holding the door hinges. After looking through it, apparently I have to remove the whole freakin' door to get those ground effects off because I was able to see nuts holding the screws from the ground effect on the inside of the front driver's side fender. If there's an easier way PLEASE let me know!

That is exactly right. You don't need to do anything from inside the car. Remove the inner fender and there are two nuts holding the piece on from the back side of the fender.

Huh? Wouldn't that require doing something inside?

Okay, look at the front tire, now, look all around it, theres a plastic panel that runs around the inside of your fender, its held on with small hex bolts, and some snap clips. Remove that plastic panel, and put your hand inside the fender, and feel around the spot that the GFX is caught on, and you should feel 2 small speed nuts.

Hope that explains it.
Oh crap.... that's embarrassing... for some reason I was thinking that the "inner" fender was some piece inside. hahaha It is kinda late and I am a little tired. Thanks for the tip... I'm glad I waited since today I was about to take the door off.
