Okay, I'll spare the messy details, but I trashed the front bumper of my '90 RS awhile back and have been searching out parts to restore it. I've got a bumper from a '90 Z-28, with the fog light openings. Would I be able to just get a new RS grille to put over it, or will I have to get the fog light assembly?
Yeah, I know...why buy a Z-28 bumper, then? Well, the price and condition were right. I have nothing against the fog lights, but that will take some serious $$$ to get, from what I've seen; I've got the car in my parents' garage right now, but it can't stay there indefinitely.
So...would just getting an RS grille be a good "quick fix", and maybe I could just add the fog light stuff later, when I've got the money? Sorry if that's a stupid question for the veterans here, but I've never had to deal with a repair like this before.

Yes they are interchangable. I think 92's came with the option of fog lights, or grill. Interestingly my 86 iroc came with fog lights, but the foglight grill was replaced with louvers. Owell, it looks mean man.. black is iroc, red is my RS See for your self.
