Tube chassis

I have looked somewhat extensivally on Google and have found next to nothing on tube chassis' and what it takes and or the process to create one. What my question is, is what is involved.. I mean do I just show up to a fab shop and say build me a custom one off chassis? Is there a company that sells a pre-made chassis for us third-gen owners?

Also, my camaro will be a street/track car.. will the tube chassis hurt it in any way?

Thanks in advance.

Since our cars are unibodies, I'd think a tube chassis would require major modification.

Re: Tube chassis

Yes, ..it is essentially a completely new car after the process is complete.

Re: Tube chassis

Depends what class you want to race in if you can run a tube frame or not.Adding sfc will make the car almost a frame.
