I found a parts car, no title, does not run, 287.000 miles. The body has no rust just the same problem mine had where someone jacked the car up under the fenders. Its a 91 RS T Top. I could use some of the parts, like passenger side door and quarter panel, window and hatch glass, some interior parts. I told him if he brought it to me I would give him $500,00 for it. Do you guys think its worth $500.00
it looks really clean im from buffalo and finding a car that straight up here for 500 would be a steal. i say if its worth the 500 to you than go for it. hell maybe u can get it to run
wow! thats in pretty good condition! i got my car for 500 bucks and the body was in worse condition, interior needed to be redone, and it needed a tune up.
i wouldn't part out that car. didn't they make decent power in 91 92?
170 hp, 2.73:1 axle, but still, I'd get it running. I paid $1000 for my '91 RS, same as that one except dark red. All mine needed was an ounce of gasoline poured down the TBI, then it fired right up, and I never had to repeat that trick. It forever after fired right up, first try, every time. That's a great deal, and it's a fixer-upper, not a parts car.
The car has no title and can not be licenced. Its rougher then it looks in the picture. Some of the parts are already missing, air bag, AC parts....etc.
I think it would be worth the money you could even offer the guy $400. and see what he says.
It would be worth it, only if you could use it. example if yours needs intereior work and this cars interior is shot, then its not worth it. think of it that way.
otherwise if you could use most or some of the parts from it, i'd say buy it.
Lmao I was gonna buy that!! Haha but you can have it if you want I don't really want it now but I'd buy it for parts it looks really straight and stuff. Go for it!

Did you go look at it? The guy that owns it is a straight up hillbilly.....I hope he is not a member

Why no title? Possibly stolen?
Titles are easy to get, so there is no reason not to have one. I'd question the lack of a title. SOMEBODY owns it.

sorry to jump the thread but i too have a NICE z28 with iroc hood that i traded a guy a mini-starter for. Body is in nice shape interior is near perfect. Just no engine and no transmission. I went to the dmv and they said no leans on the title and the title is clean (not stolen). How could i get a title for the car. They wont give me the info for the guy whos name the title is in, its a hispanic name ( no offence) but i doubt ill be able to find him even if i did have the info.
Thanks guys!

I'm surprised the DMV didn't want to do SOMETHING. I bet you could just find an officer on the street & ask him...."Guy has a car to sell, but no title. I have the VIN & plate #. Anyway you can put me in touch with the registered owner?"
No I never went to see it, I was in E-town a few weeks ago (I used to live there) but I didn't get a chance.
And yeah I've never had any luck with DMV I'd just call the local cops and have them do a check to see if it was stolen or not and then ask for the guys name that had it last and go from there.
Honestly if I still lived in Elizabethtown I'd have snatched it up the first day it hit craigslist. It has a V8 the body is in great shape, and it has T-tops. Thats reason enough for me but for other people it would be a different story.
On the other hand I don't like the whole no title thing. He claims there's a lien so he's hiding it until someone gives him $500 for a car he doesn't own.
Just like knowingly buying stolen property if you ask me.
I did buy a '85 Z/28 for $150 with a clean title and no engine/trans. No rust, decent interior ect... needs a front bumper cover.
