What results were you looking to get out of doing that? Is this for lowering?

weight and to let my rearend hang with large tires.
my tire would hit that area and would not let the rearend hang with wheels/tires mounted.
all is well now.
it wasnt a big deal, i just had to take the wheels off with the rearend at ride height.
mainly looking to remove weight.

I have a 28" tall by 11.6" wide tires. i had to beet the **** out of mine. i cut a line down the arch for the bump stop and folded it. I hit every inch of inner fender. hahaha. i did a mini tub with a hammer and plasma cutter

Re: chopped my bumpstop area

i would say it was safe for a daily if you put a bumpstop on the shock. you can get them from afco, or 4x4 dealers.
if you lived here[pensacola] you wouldnt need any bumpstop. roads are farily level here. ive only bottomed out one time and it was some roadwork that wasnt lit up or marked.
