I have worked for a GM dealer for 11 years. On October 21st we were notified that the dealership was closing on Oct. 30th. I have passed out about 15 resume's and gotten a few calls.
Well today I got a call from the owner of the local dodge dealership and was presented with a job offer at his JD Byrider lot. This owner owns 6 dealerships in SC and is a down to earth guy.
Now the issue was when we discussed the salary. I will be making $9500 less per year if I take this job, but they do have good benefits. I was also told that I would get a review after being there 6 months and then again at 1 year.
Now I am transfering to another store within the auto group that I am in now but the fate of it has not been decided yet and no one knows how long it will last.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
