Where Did You Put Your Hood Pins?

Hey everyone I just got a set of hood pins with lanyards for my Fiberglass SS hood on my camaro. I was just wondering if anyone has any pictures of where they put their hood pins so I could get a better idea of where to put mine.

Thanks

Re: Where Did You Put Your Hood Pins?

i put mine in place of the hood stops right behind the head lights.
The lanyards will f-up your paint, i wouldn't use them

Re: Where Did You Put Your Hood Pins?

I have a tendancy to loose stuff, I kinda need the lanyards. And I already have em so its a lil late not to get em.

As for where you put em, does your hood flutter when you drive? Because the point of hood stops is to keep the hood from fluttering which i think if you didnt have em would add more stress to the hood.

Re: Where Did You Put Your Hood Pins?

nope, the hood doesnt move at all. The lips on the side of my hood sit tightly in the little rubber bumpers on the fenders.

Re: Where Did You Put Your Hood Pins?

if you are worried about losing the pins, there are hood pins with a retractable pin that stays in a track, and will not scratch your paint.
they dont look 100% great, but i dont think any of them do.

Re: Where Did You Put Your Hood Pins?

My hood flutters a bit. Not much, though.

I put my front pins right beside the rubber bump stops for the front of the hood.

Haha finally a picture. Thank You. And like I said I have already got my hood pins, I saw those retractable ones but I really didnt like em to much so I went with the original style

By the way, I agree about not using the lanyards especially if you have nice paint.
