Hey, I was wondering if anyone knows when they started putting clear coat on our cars? I've got an 84 Trans Am and I have a bottle of Simoniz car wax, but its for conventional (non clear-coat) finishes only. As far as I know, the paints original so if they cane out of the factory in 1984 without clear coat then there shouldnt be any on it now.
Can anyone help me out with that question?
PS - The bottle of car cleaning wax is from 1989 haha, it must of been my aunts because I found it in the basement. Hasnt been opened, its still sealed and everything, but it should still be ok to use now, right? I dont think this stuff would go bad. Just figured I'd ask, I'd feel pretty stupid if I ended up trying it and something went wrong .
Thanks for any advice,
Ryan
