I little different power window problem

Details...'86 Camaro with power window
What happened...Cold morning, went out and started car to heat up, lowered both windows about an inch, went inside. Came out 15 minutes later, lowered both windows to wipe off the dew, passenger side window would only go 2/3 the way down, tried to roll back up, would only go about 2/3 way up.
Now...Window will only travel about 1/3 its range and is basically stuck 1/2 open. Window does travel quickly and freely over this span. Took off door panel and looked around...nothing in the bottom of the door and everything seems to operate like it should just with the diminished range. tried pulling up and pushing down but has no effect. I can see nothing that tells the motor when the window is all the way up or down. Are the window stops built into the motor? Any help is appreciated.

Re: I little different power window problem

I'm thinking the motors may need to be replaced butnot sure.

I have a similar issue. My driver's side window goes all the way up and down but in increments. It'll move and stop then I have to way about a few min and will do the same. The passenger side window only lowers about halfway and it'll start making a funny noise like gears grinding and same when it goes back up. Once all they way up it'll stop and make the gear grinding noise.
