Thinking of this 2 tone paint job on my 91 T/A vert

OK here's my plan... in a few months, once I'm totally done with the body work (needs new front fenders due to rust and maybe a new hood too since it looks like a branch fell on it), I wanna paint my 91 Trans Am convertible. I'm thinking of leaving most of the body the original green color, but I'm thinking of paint the ground effects and [maybe] the rear spoiler gold like the Trans Am decals already there, and the decals on the ground effects would be green.

And does anybody have a 91-92 firebird with a two-tone paint job? Post up some pictures! Doesn't matter what color, I just want a better idea of what a two-tone deal would look like.

Yeah, you can tell that my car needs paint... badly...

The parts I'd paint gold are circled in yellow. I'm thinking of leaving the ground effects right behind the nose the same color since there aren't any lines that might make it "flow"... at least as far as I could think of.

Oh and what do you guys think? I'm not sure myself if that's what I want yet so I just want some more opinions. I told a couple friends at school about this and one said I should go for it and the other one said otherwise. And don't be afraid to give me your opinion, this is by no means finalized and I won't be offended by whatever you say.

On top of that... I love the screaming chickens on the hood so I'm definitely getting one in gold.

And how much do you think a paint job like that might cost at a decent shop? I'd remove most of the trim pieces/gfx before turning it in to save cash and just have them seal/prime/paint it.

Ok, I was sort of expecting those sorts of responses. I was kinda unsure about it myself. In that case I'll probably keep it original BUT I'm DEFINITELY getting the big gold screaming chicken on the hood.

I would too if I had a 'bird and the two-tone doesn't sound that bad to me except i'd get black and gold but that's my opinion.

There is a green 3rd gen firebird coupe right around the corner from where I live with gold trim as you wanted. Does not look good in my opinion.

Do you have any pictures?

And yeah the black and gold would look good, I have no probably having the Bandit's car, but I want to keep this car mostly original. So that includes original "main" color. If I would change the color of the whole car, I wouldn't sleep right if I didn't tear it down to the bare unibody, sand off all of the old paint, and completely prime and paint it like new. But for me, and at least for now, tearing the whole car down is totally out of the question.

JK seriously though someone rob auto zone or something. All it's missing is a ghetto flame job and some NOS stickers.

That's a nice green. If it were me I'd squirt it all green again and replace the decals with nice new ones.

Maybe try it on one ground effect and see if u like it before doing all of them, just my . Kind of hard to picture it in your head what the final outcome would be.

Here are a few of the paint options that I came up with (from the "pick my paint" post a while back). After all this, I ended up going with black body, red top. I have never seen a 2 tone on a 3rd gen like the above post. I'm curious to see more of it.
