I am trying to find a hood for my gta with the headlight doors molded in..
Is there any? I found one listed on Showcars bodyparts but I have heard bad thing about their service and quality.
Does a camaro hood latch at the same place?
Camaro hood is a different shape really. If you had a spare hood you might get away with just trying to fab it yourself. Shouldn't be much of a process and will work probably better on a fiberglass one. Going with foglamps or hella lights?
From the firewall to the strut towers, the hoods are about the same. From there forward, the Firebird front ends drops about 4" lower, so the Camaro hood would bolt on, "close", but be nowhere near latching, nor even stay down while driving. Be like having a parachute!
Several other places make hoods without the cutouts, mainly because of the drag race crowd. And your looking at stock or cowl induction. Never seen another option.
You could always see about getting your stock headlight doors molded in to the hood you want to usee.
Are you completely removing your pop up lights then? I guess I am a little confused on what you are going for here. I have owned many cars with pop up lights 88 formula, 92 celica, 92 Stealth, 95 rx-7, 91 formula... And Im having a hard time picturing how the lights would work if the head light covers were molded in.
are you just gonna use your foglight location as headlights and remove your pop-ups?

You may want to check on you state laws reguarding headlight placement. In Kansas, the headlights on any car manufactured after 1959 must have the headlights at least 24" from the ground but no more than 54". Just a thought before you go to too much trouble only to find out that it is illegal.

In Texas, the legal limit is 24" f& 54" too. Stock, mine were at 23"! No way I was LIFTING the car to be legal.
It is now 2" lower, but nobody ever checks & I'm perfectly fine with my car being "illegal."
