I have a 87 trans am that is red with silver ground effects kit. I kinda like how the cars without it look like the formula or gta. If i wanted to change can i just take it off or is there something else i need to get to make it work. I'm new to fbodys and GM products. I've been in a Mopar family and have little input from my typical go-to people for my T/A. any help would be big. thanks
You'll have to get different front and rear bumpers, there will also be small holes from where the gfx mount to the doors, fenders, etc. A lot easier than putting them on a car but still not a walk in the park

sounds like mine . You could probably gets the bumpers from Thirdgen ranch. But it depends on what you're looking for. The 82-84 style bumpers or the 87-90 formula style. It'd be tough to fill the gfx mounting holes on the doors.

yeah mine does look like yours. Idk for sure if I wanna make the change yet or look to trade mine for a similar formula car.
If you like the looks of the GTA "without ground fx", just paint yours to match the body color. All GTAs had body color ground fx & maybe that is why you thought they weren't there?
