You will not believe your eyes when you see this.....

Yes.. The grille is from a 2008 Chevy Silverado pick up truck..

"1989 iroc-z Camaro with a 2001 ls1 out of a ws6 t/a, with only 30k on it. i pulled it apart when i got it, and everything still looks new, JBA shorty headers with 3 1/2" exhaust, sound great! speartec ECM and harness, 700r4 tranny, all the bearings in the front end rebuilt. 8" disc brakes up front and 12" rotors and aluminum calipers on the back. interiors nice has newer camaro seats in it. PL PW T-tops. the front end is custom, its a 08 silverado grill that i fabricated on myself. I drive the car everyday without any problems, drives straight as an arrow down the highway at 75mph, i have been checking the millage and i have been getting 21 mpg mixed town/highway. Just get a hold of me if you want to know more, i will be happy to answer any questions. 217-341-7768 Daniel"

http://www.mautofied.com/custom-auto...ing/100223692/

I was browsing on a classifieds site when I saw this, looking for some decent black IROC's, you know, for a bit of inspiration. Since I am stuck, I do not know what color to paint my IROC, black, or resprayed in Ultra Blue Metallic. Then I came across this thing.

I know, it's horrible. I still can't believe someone would degrade a Third Gen that bad. Especially them wheels, the wheels look far more horrible than the Silverado grille.

I'm so glad I hadn't eaten dinner, before seeing that!

While it IS ugly & hideous, I gotta give them credit for doing such a clean install.

This showed up on here a few months ago. It's not exactly my cup of tea, but it looks like a very clean job. A few tweaks here and there and it could look pretty good IMO.

Well while I don't really like the look of it he did a great job. If we could find another front end that would look good on our cars and have someone that does as good of a job as he did make it that would be pretty cool

i thin the same thing too if the grille was black with some black rims i think i would like it a 1000 times more i like it and if i had nothing else to buy i would probably settle for that i would buy that as my first pick though and sadly i dont think that would pass an inspection in jerz where would you mount the front liscense plate

You've got that right. Like Stephen said, he deserves the credit for such a clean install, but when something's ugly, it's ugly.

Re: You will not believe your eyes when you see this.....

You're correct, there isn't a whole lot, due to not much aftermarket support. As far as extreme body mods, and thinking out of the box, this '10 style body for Third Gens wins, even though I do not like it.

There was also another completely custom Third Gen I've seen before, it resembled a NASCAR stock car, all it really had is the stock car style rear though. Just imagine a black Third Gen with this rear.

God I would love to own one of those.. Number 6 too, just like in the picture, it's my lucky number. Cheesey, huh?

Re: You will not believe your eyes when you see this.....

The only way to improve that thing in my eyes is to either replace that butt-ugly grill with one from a F0rd or D0dge truck... Other than putting the front end that SHOULD be on there back on there.

And I agree this guy is going to be trying for a LONG time before he sells that thing... It's an insult to EVERY generation of Camaro...

PS... I like that late-gen concept above. Too bad there isn't one for the Bird. :sniff:

:edit: And still, the question remains: How in the world can that guy possibly see at night?

Check out the grille, you can see a few lights behind whatever he used, looks like chicken wire?

There probably will be something like this for the Third Gen bird's, if enough people show interest. There's already an actual running and moving Trans Am concept, built with a Camaro of course. Personally, I have always loved second and fourth gen birds, far more than Camaros. The Camaro's styling is just so ..blah.

Then there's the sexy 2002 Trans Am! One of my many dream cars..

Yeah, I can see the lights... Still, wouldn't the grill hamper diffusion of the light to pretty much straight ahead instead of towards the road (so he can see the lines)?

Also, I kind of thought that pic was just a concept drawing... I saw that months ago on here or somewhere on the web. Still hot. I prefer the look of the 93-97 Birds and the second gens, but I still crave an 81 Z...

You get originality points thats for sure, but cosmetically meh.
I mean it sets you apart from a normal camaro, neither good nor bad.
For the real killer i'd put some new lights in it on the sides of the grill.

Re: You will not believe your eyes when you see this.....

Definitely looks odd. The front end just drops straight off. that is the main thing, I agree maybe if it had been installed at an angle, tilted back at the top it would look better. Definitely not my style. Depending on the asking price it's might be worthing getting it for a driveline swap.
