Now that it's out do you have any better idea what it is? I've never seen anything that looked like that in one of these cars, so I'm inclined to think it was something that somehow ended up under the seat????

...If PO had put in new carpet, and had a critter problem, maybe it's pieces of mothballs? I think they lose their smell over time? I dunno... Only guessing till we get the forensic answers!!! Keep us in the loop!
