Factory emblems, did they use double side tape or glue

I need to put some emblems back on my car. Did they use double sided tape? or some type of adhesive from the factory.

When I purchased these emblems they came with peal off backing and the adhesive was already on the back. I just had to press them on. Worked great. Two years now through many washes and rain and they are holding great. My advise is to find the distributor you want and double check with them on the install procedure.

This one comes with a pins that pushes through holes on the nose and is held on with small nuts. Camaro Bowtie Front Emblem, IROC-Z & RS, 1986-1992

Most use an adhesive backing or double sided molding tape.

On my car the "5.7 Tunded Port Injection" and "Z28" were on there with adhesive. And the side Z28 emblems were on there with double sided tape.
I took them all off to paint them and just used some double sided tape and theyre still holding up great after some brutal weather/washing.

ah ok, yeah I got my car back from a paint shop and one of the emblems wasnt on there. They offered to put it on with double sided tape but I wasnt sure if this was right or not.
