Bought outer window sweeps from 1A Auto

How do they go in? It looks like I just pull the old ones out and pop the new ones in but I need to be sure before I go ahead and mess something up.

should just be some metal clips on the sweep that grab the top of the door. Pop the old ones out and press the new ones on.

Do I have to take off the door panel to get the clips off?

If you are talking about the sweep on the outside of the window you should be able to pull it up and off with out taking anything else off. It might fight a bit but it will come off.

All the ones Ive seen are held on with small 7mm bolts. To get access its easiest to pull the door panel off, then remove the 2 window felts so you can pull the glass away from the door a little bit.I removed a very nice one from a junkyard car and it was a real pita

82roc is correct . i replaced mine after new paint with 1a auto sweeps . was happy . don't expect all holes to line up perfect . not a1's fault , factory assy. was done on assy. line by humans . i used many small phillips head screws instead of 7mm heads . take your time , good luck .

Re: Bought outer window sweeps from 1A Auto

I had to do a little bit of drilling for the last hole above the door handle and it worked out just fine. Doesn't look 100% in that area because it sits a little lower on the edge of the door because the of how the holes don't line up perfect but it looks much better than it did. Thanks.

Re: Bought outer window sweeps from 1A Auto

One problem, my window sweeps do not sit tight enough against the window to keep the water out. Do I just have to adjust something?
