Ok this sounds stupid but how in hell do you turn off the brights? I had to get a new battery installed today and just a few minutes ago i had the headlights on and noticed that it turned the brights on to and i tried turning them off but couldnt figure in hell how to turn those things off. so i need help on how to turn them off/on. thanks.

Are you saying you have no idea how to turn the bright off or you try to click the lever and nothing happens? If the latter, check that the metal mod which actuates the high beam switch hasn't popped out of It's position at the base of the column. This happened to me once.

If you still have your car's owner's manual, you might consider thumbing through it to learn how this and that works. I've discovered info there that surprised me.

Dunno. I bought a new one at a swap meet--there's always a vendor who sells books, pamphlets, brochures, shop and owner's manuals. You might consider placing an advert in the classifieds.
