Re: Removing Paint?
Try rubbing alchohol first. You gotta be careful with plastic. Some paint solvents are plastic solvents. Wet a paper towel with the alchohol and rub the item easy just to see if the paint will start to dissolve. You may have to let it sit a little. Of course, this stuff evaporates pretty quick. Just take it slow to make sure it won't damage the underlying plastic. This is a slow way of doing it but reduces the risk. I'm sure some of the folks on here have a better way.

Re: Removing Paint?
Alcohol can soften some plastics. Try it in a test area that wont be seen first.
You might want to try an automotive paint store and ask them. There is a wax and grease remover for plastic (SEM makes one for instance) that may work. You also might want to get to it quick if the paint is still fairly fresh.

Re: Removing Paint?
This may sound a bit backwards. but if nothing else works just paint over the paint with some interior vinyl dye/plastikote or something?

Re: Removing Paint?
You could use some 1200 grit wet and dry sandpaper. Cheap at Harbor freight.
Just use lots of water and lots of sandpaper but don't push very hard. It will knock off most the the overspray and feather the rest for the repaint without hurting the grain of the plastic.

Re: Removing Paint?
I see. So it's overspray from painting the car that your trying to remove.
I thought you were removing vinyl paint to change interior colors or something.
Good luck with that
