My Build Thread

Hey guys new to the forum. Long story short I live in a small town in Michigan and my grandpa owns a junkyard here, he has a ton of classic cars. Me and my dad just finished restoring our 70 Mach 1. I wanted a project for just me and buddies to work on, keep in mind, only 16 so dont have alot of time with school, etc. I had a 3rd gen 2 years ago I sold. Just way to much work without the power to do it. So i've been looking and found this local. Had a running/driving 305. Had the guy pull it. Got it for $900, he delieverdand ended up knowing my grandpa and dad. Me and my buddy built a makeshift shop in our pole barn at my dads house, have a kerosene heater for it so it stays pretty warm. Guy delievered the car about 1pm on saturday, so we got to work. Planning to build a street machine. Cage, mini tub, looking at putting in like a 406 with a turbo. All the parts I pull off my car im selling to get money for the new stuff. Took out a/c, heat, power steering. Now to figure out this mess of wires, can anyone help? I want, headlights/tailights/blinkers, then i just want the basic for the new motor i dont want all the other harness in there. What do I get rid of? Anyways, ill add pics as i go. Cleaned out engine bay, painted and stripped interior

Re: My Build Thread

if i were you id leave heat it can be useful sometimes! and i would build a motor that will handle boost and run it n/a for a little while your collecting turbo parts, it adds up quick!

Re: My Build Thread

well I already took out heat. haha so your saying build a fast motor to handle a turbo now and just get a turbo later?
