Flames painted with the Chameleon paint on top of metallic silver.
I was thinking of painting my car a metallic silver, and then with the Chameloen paint, lay some flames on the front of the car, or just a couple stripes down the whole car with the chameleon paint. Any input?

I am looking to do this as well, but with Metallic Pearl White as my base paint and then the "chameleon" or "Ford Mystic" ghost flames. I think that would look totally sweet as long as it's not overdone.
There's a kid around here with a pearl white mustang. He painted the flames with the exact same paint, except he used a lot more pearl. Then he cleared the whole car. The results are stunning. I hate flames, but I love ghost flames. You can't really even tell that there's flames until you get close to it, then as you move back and forth they start to show up. Real nice. What I'd suggest doing is paint the car silver, then have more silver mixed up with the color shifting materials mixed right into the same color, and airbrush the flame outlines with that. Painting good flames requires a professional, so I'd find somebody that does a lot of flames. I'm probably going to do something like this next time I paint. I would have done it this time, but the store my father gets his paints from didn't know enough about that color shifting paint, and I didn't want to be the ginnea pig.

I think it'll look sweet. I'm getting mine painted Metallic Indigo Blue right now and was thinking of either flames or stripes in a silver pearl. That'll wait until after I get an ASCD hood, so we're talkin a few years. It's either that or College on my budget...let me tell ya, it's a tough choice

Hooboy - that sounds totally killer. So killer in fact that I think I'm going to adopt that and use it myself!!
One of the car magazines had a Corvette that was white and it had a "Ghost Checkered Flag" on it. Talk about completely kick @ss.
My cousin said that the chameleon paint only works over black, well if you want the full color change effect. It might work though for ghost flames. I think he said it has 20 or more different pearls in it.

the chamelian (SP??) paint is just one of a bunch of different styles that use the color shifting particles. They are available in a wide range of colors now, so I would go to a good auto store that sells Dupont, PPG, Martin Senour or Sherwin Williams paints and taok to them about the color shifting hues.
