Goodmark Industries Cowl Hoods?

Anyone have one of those stell Goodmark Industry 2" Cowl Induction Camaro hoods?

If so, how do you like it? Is the quailty good? Is the cowl functional?

I have one. go to www.racecamaro.cz28.com or http://in.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/canada/80/ I love it, but two inches is actually more like 2.5-3 inches. I love the quality, I guess it would be considered functional because I have an open element cleaner and the hood has an opening, but I really don't notice any performance different.

Thanks. I am glad it is a bit taller because of the intake, carb and spacer I plan to use. Thanks.

If you want to see performance gains from your functional cowl induction hood, you'll have to buy, or fabricate, an air cleaner box. A flat aluminum bottom plate, larger than your air cleaner assembly, and foam walls tall enough to seal against the hood of your car when closed. This way your engine will be breathing only clean, cooler ouside air. Rather than the hot, stagnant air from inside the engine compartment.
