B&M Megashifter and Hurst V-matic 2 (automatic)

I want to get B&M or Hurst I like the look of the B&M but I like the hurst product well I'm getting off topic. I was wondering how hard its going to be to install the B&M or Hurst in my 88 sc camaro (305). The center console is one piece no ? am i going to need to cut anything or is it just going to slip right in. one more question is this worth doing ?

I am selling a Megashifter in the classifieds if interested. The swap involves the cutting of your old shiftplate where it meets the ashtray and surround. Putting the shifter in and bolting the correct brackets to the floorpan and shifter to get it sitting correct. running the cable to the tranny and bolting on the tranny-cable mount and lever arm and adjusting cable to correct length. Kinda sounds hard, but is quite simple, even easier with a bud around. Let me know on the shifter if you want it. It is nice:/

Send a message via AIM to EVILFACE
They look pretty much the same and problem even perform the same. I say if you like the Hurst products, go with theirs.

Installing the B&M was easy, only adjusting the cable was a pain. The top part of the consol (ashtray and shifter) is one pice.

Everyone says that adjusting the cable is a pain but I followed the directions and got it the first try. I was all nervous because of you guys telling me that but it wasn't that bad. I got about 1/2 way though the install and though oh my god what have I done but one I put it all together I like it a lot. Makes driving way more fun!

I am installing a 5-speed in my Iroc, so I don't need it any more. It is almost new though. And the shift plate and ashtray are one piece, but you have to cut them apart and ditch the old indicator half and keep the ashtray half to install the B&M's new shift indicator half.

Diabolical, I just have listed it in the classifieds for $100. I would like to get close to this for it. It is in rather good shape.
