Well, liek the topic says.. I'm trying to figure out the color name of the carpet used in the Medium Beechwood interior for my RS. Form what I've found it could be one of the following: Congnac, Doeskin, Sandalwood. I have Beige floor mats (got em off ebay). Doeskin looks the closest, but it's hard to tell from a pic in a book, if the shades are accurate. Can anyone help.. Thanks

You should be able to get either Classic Industries or Next Generation to send you a small 6X6 sample of carpet and then you should be able to find out which color is yours,as far as matching up and all,etc...Hope this helps

I have the Beechwood interior and all the places that sell carpet say it is Cognac--did you ever find out if this is the right color for the carpet?
I posted this somwhere else too. It's been a few years, but IIRC, the Chamois matched my OE Beechwood best. Now my Beechwood carpet was old, but there were still some not so faded parts that I used to match.
...and I've seen several beechwood interiors and I'd swear that the carpets are NOT all the exact same color. All are most certainly a peanut butterish looking color, darker than the doeskin, but still I've seen a few different shades.
I thought the Cognac samples looked too brown, (IMHO), regardless of what was technically the "correct" color.
Look at it this way, you just have more choices. You can't fault ACC for making WAY more colors than were originally offered, right? Just have some samples sent out. Sure, it takes a little time, but taking the time will pay off, I PROMISE!
Got an email from Alan at Car Motorsports. Seems one of the owners(Rich) has a nice collection of TTA's and GTA's some of which have the Beechwood interior. Beechwood is not listed on the website but he says they have it as a custom color. I'll be calling him tomorrow to check on it and keep everyone posted.
Car Motorsports DOES have Beechwood carpet for our cars.
It's around $145 for the standard passenger compartment carpet,
215 for their Ultra Premium Carpet. You can add 60 bucks to either one to get the rubber backing which is similar to putting in a layer of dynamat.
I did not get the price for the back of the car since I have a convertible.
I ordered the Ultra Premium, should be in next week.
You have to ask for the Beechwood carpet, it is not listed on their website but they do make it.
Here are pictures of the new Beechwood carpet installed in the IROC. With shipping it came to $234.95 from Car Motorsports.
That was for their ultra premium carpet.
Their regular carpet in this color is $145.00 plus shipping($25).
This is really nice stuff. This is the only place I found that had actual Beechwood carpet.
Like I said before, the Beechwood carpet is not listed on their website but if you contact them, they do have it. Great place to deal with. http://www.carmotorsports.com/

That looks awesome. You just made my day. I have been working on a 91 GTA for about 4 years now. I have finally got around to doing the interior, and I had pretty much figure I was going to have to gut the thing because I could not match up the colors. At any rate see your car has renewed my interest in the beechwood color. That interior looks SHARP! I am in the process of trying to find someone to cover my PMD seats with a material called Allante. I might buy the carpet first so I can better match the seats.

Here's the link for some pictures of these one in a million TA's:
Here's ACC's Medium Doeskin (7295) in my GTA. Don't compare it to the front seats... they obviously aren't stock. Compare the color to the door panels.
Wow.. this one was dug up from the dead.. I forgot I even posted it. Thanks for the answers.. 88IROCDT that looks awesome, leather and a Vert.. way to cool.. . The Medium Doeskin color doesn't look right.. not quite the right shade I think..

In my GTA it's spot-on. I know that the tan interior in my 86 Camaro was a very different shade of tan than the Pontiac Beechwood, but I can't say that I've seen a newer camaro with that interior to make a comparison.
But in any case, the Doeskin is the best match for the Pontiac Beechwood. It looks a little off in my pics, but I think the camera flash had more to do with that than anything.

How does your black car go with the Beechwood interior?-One of these days I'd like to paint my car black.
The black is great combination with the Med Beechwood. Not to mention is was a avaialble color when getting a black car. Ya I suppose the flash with make the carpet look a bit weird..
Actually from what I've seen, the carpet rarely matches the center colsole or the doors because the carpet is a different type.
Man thats clean carpet.. someday mine will look the same.. but not as bood since my sills are split in some places .. nothing much I can do about that. Color matching Med Beechwood is very hard.

Your comparing new carpet to 18 year old carpet, different dye lots, etc.
And like FastElectrics mentioned, it wasn't a perfect match with the console to begin with.
Also, I got the Ultra carpet, tighter weave/higher thread count...maybe the "Cognac" color carpet that everyone else was offering as the original color match for my car might have been better, but the carpet I got from Car Motorsports was the only actual Beechwood carpet I found, and I think it looks great in the car.
88IROCDT, very impressive! Question was the Carmotorsport carpet pre cut meaning openings for gear lever etc under the center console, bolt holes for front seats and seat belt receivers etc? Any trimming etc to get it to fit?
I got one on it's way for my 89 TTA but was curiues about the above. Got loads of other stuff from Carmotorsports and are very pleased with the high quality of products and thier service and knowledge ... actually visited one of the owners a couple of years back and got to see his collection and driver one of the mule TTA's :-)
Thanks,
I had the carpet installed by the same upholstery shop that did my convertible top so I'm sorry I can't help with any info on the precuts or install. Cost for the install was $125.
You must have had a big smile on your face when you got to check out those TTA's!
