actually, i dont think there was ever an actual WS7 to roll out of the plant, but i first got the idea from a picture i came across online. Check it out...
this guy claims to be a 4th GEN WS7, so i thought i'd be the first 3rd GEN. To roll with the theme, i did extensive work on the car suspension-wise to back it up (i'm happy to say that the car corners like a champ, and carves asphalt like nobody's business).
also, i was going for the unique look like Phantomchamp stated, and the red WS7 decal seals the deal (i placed one other in the passenger side dash that cant be missed).
I don't like it. Good effort though. Looks very clean and show quality except for the stick on graphics.

HAHAHAHA, pretty close johny, try 17...but much older than that now. i just left it because it represents my character back then.
hey 82recarota, i didnt know there were actually WS7 3rd GENs. aww geez, well the spotlight was great while it lasted. hehe, thanks for the info.
there also a guy around here at the show with a WS-7 4th gen, also as far as i know means a ws-6 without the rear discs, its nothing specal, ditto those stick on letters look cheezy

That's funny, I have front disc/rear drum, and was planning on swapping to rear discs. Guess it makes sense now...hehe. I also coated the front calipers and rear drums white to match the theme. I'll try to post a set when I get a chance.
Again, thanks for the all the good info. fellas...
I like the theme, just not the door graphics... I bet it'd look better with a 91-92 banshee nose over those front blackouts. I like the hatch emblem, is that sticker or what?
i actually ordered the spoiler from wings west, hoping it was going to be the aerowing model, but actually ended up liking it in the end. i think it looks better @ most angles. also, the stickers are actually WS7 decals/badges i ordered online, not any ordinary cheap flat stick-ons that'll peel after its first wash. looks great, and helps the car stand out a bit.
RMK,
the speakers you ask about are 12" Kicker SoloBarics with a Q-logic sealed enclosure built specifically for our models.
WS-6 never came out until 77' and disc cameout in 79' i dont think you could be WS-6 without the rear disc, the only ws-7 i've ever know was a 4th gen that was sent out to one of those customize places to get a "semi-factory" performace package and put ws-7 on it, it was never a factory option i've ever seen

thanks,
i actually got those by the same company as the rear blackouts (GTS). those i remember ordering through pepboys (local parts store). if you need a part# i might be able to possibly dig one up.
there's only one problem i have though...i ordered this GREAT kit online to adapt the 4th gen DRL feature on our cars ...
(same function where DRL on during day, and goes back to normal once you turn your lights on at night. i've been looking for this for a while now)
...but the problem is i was going to do a popup delete in combo w/ the DRL's. apparently, there is still no actual steady/stable procedure for this i found out, so my plans have been delayed for a while. i saw amorgetRS's setup and was almost ready to do a similar setup, but when i saw the front without the blackouts, it looked pretty plain. now, i'm between thoughts.
if you want more info. on the DRL's check it out @ WebElectric Products http://members.nccw.net/webe/products/products.htm and click on Daytime Running Lights...
Lawrence is the person running the show and is great to deal with!!!A++++++ excellent communication...
(you know, it's pretty cool how much people know about our pontiac history...)

Tempest, my info is out of a GM RPO book 3/01. The RPO's are dated when the RPO's were coded by GM until they had no use for them any longer. They also go by model.
WS6 1976-1994 performance package, special (merchandising option)
WS6 1996-2001 same as above
WS7 1976-1985 perfomance package, special.
As far as GM is concerned, there is no such thing as a 4th gen WS7, a WS7 before '76, or a WS7 after '85.
I don't have a clue what a second gen WS7 is, but in the case of my car, the factory ran out of disk brake parts for the rear, tossed drums on an otherwise WS6 car, and coded it a WS7. It's possible the second gens never used that code.
RPO's mean different things on different years and models, or possibly nothing at all.
I've never seen a WS7 that was'nt an '82 or '83, but that does'nt mean they don't exist. I'm sure they just kept the code itself alive until '85 when they were sure they would'nt run out of brake parts again.
Basically, A WS7 on your build sheet (like mine) means you were robbed. But now it's turning into an urban legend of a RPO, hehehe...

217 days 'till temps as of Nov. 7th! yeah, I'm only 14.

Somebody said something about WS-4 being specific to the 89 model year? I have WS-4 on my 87 Trans Am sticker.
Also, am I hearing that all WS-6 thirdgens have rear disc brakes? Also, I am pretty sure that I have rear drums (on a WS-6 car). The reason I am only pretty sure is that I only recently got this car and haven't looked. Now I feel awful for that...I suck
i just recieved a message from a member here regarding the pics... you can view the car here... luckily i had checked a mailbox that i used for this site, and i appologize for the delay i dont usually have time now-a-days...
speaking of which, i dont drive the car too much, and the only other change to date is the windshield sticker is no longer there. not only did i grow tired of it, but i had to replace the windshield anyway, otherwise it would've probably still be there. however, it does look cleaner with no sticker...
