I have replaced the pin and bushings on a 78 camaro. I'm sure its about the same. You should be able to get a kit at Advanced Auto. Just knock the old pin out and put the new stuff in. Its kind of awkward with a jack under the door. Its a pretty straight-forward operation though.

This applies only to the LOWER door hinge. The UPPER hinge is a different story.
PAIN IN THE ***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 my and my dad did it damn i hated doing that we replaced the whole hinge grrrrrrr took 4 ever and my dad is a expert at this
Agree, if you take your time, pretty straight forward. Tuffest part for me was the spring. Need a special tool to put the spring in.

He ASKED for someone whos done it. Obviously you haven't done pins and bushings on a Third Gen. Take a look next time you get in your car. The upper hige has huge factory rivets. I did it on both of my doors as well as a customers while I was working at the Chevrolet dealership and I know that its impossibe to get the pins. The best way I know to do it is put a 2X4 on a hydralic jack and lift till it comes into contact unbolt top till finger tight or should it be finger loose?? Pop the bottom pin and then unbolt top. Cut the factory hinge off. Place template from hinge kit and drill holes if you didn't tear too much doorskin if so weld a new piece of tin on and place template on drill place braket behind may require a little trimming then bolt new hinge on. Use the larger oversized bushings for bottom hinge.
Took about 3.5 hours for each door the first time (my Trans Am).

I did my drivers side pin and bushings.
I had to drill a larger hole in the bottom hole and but a bushing in there, there wasn't one to begin with and that hole was elongated.
I put a jack under the door to support it and took the door off and balanced it carefully while I did the work.
I had to take it to the dealer to get the spring back in, I tried for an hour to do it so I just said fuk it, and took it in. took the guy 15 seconds to pop it in.
