4th Gen Camaro Dash in 3rd Gen Camaro - HVAC Question

I am trying to decide if I want to do this swap. I have mapped out all of the wiring except HVAC assembly. Anyone have any clue if the HVAC assembly (controls) will work with my 3rd gen HVAC system?

Thanks

Thanks

Thanks, but I have the 1993 Service manual. I have been able to idenify everything for the 93/97 but linking back to the 89 is hard. Was just hopeing someone has already taken the leap with a Camaro. If I have to I will buy the 97 HAVC system and install it also.

Again, thanks

Re: 4th Gen Camaro Dash in 3rd Gen Camaro - HVAC Question

Was curious about this too. Basically i don't have A/C but looking to keep the heater box in the bay, and if i swapped the 4th inner hvac box what would I have to do to make it fit with the 4th gen dash? or is it just a bolt on and i'm good? Also the wiring, would it be best to grab the hvac wiring from a 4th gen and plug it in?

Re: 4th Gen Camaro Dash in 3rd Gen Camaro - HVAC Question

The controls will work but the vacuum lines need to be modified in addition to the wiring. I used vacuum caps, cut off the capped ends, applied permatex 5 min epoxy to the inner side of them, and used them as vacuum line splices. I've tried searching but I know the vacuum line diagrams are on here somewhere for the dash swap. Also the 4th gen heater door cable will work but need to make a custom bracket or I believe others have used a heater door cable from another vehicle like maybe a S10.
