LS1 brakes moser 9 inch

Thinking about buying a moser 9 inch, but I would like to run a set of LS1 rear brakes that I already have. Has anybody done this?

Re: LS1 brakes moser 9 inch

Well I'd like to buy a used rear with explorer disc brakes on it now, but would rather use the 12 inch LS1 swap I already have. Don't suppose anybody knows if the flange on the axle is the same? I e-mailed moser but no reply yet.

Currently have the LS1 rears on the TA. Have the explorer discs on the Cutlass, totally different flanges.

Re: LS1 brakes moser 9 inch

So I'm going to bring this thread back from the dead for another question. I bought a project car with a 9" in it. Has all the options and came with 12" PBRs on it. Looks like I'm going to be parting out my 88 that has an LS1 axle in it. I want to take the PBRs off the 9" and install them on another vehicle that has a 10 bolt rear so there would be no fabrication involved I would just have to buy the backing plates. Then swap the LS1 brakes to the 9" so the faster car has the better brakes. For you guys with LS1 rears on the 9" did you just specify that when you ordered from moser and they gave you different axle retaining/backing plates? Also were you guys able to hook up the parking brake?
