Spindle hub play?

About a year ago I decieded to the front C4 do it yourself upgrade. But last summer came in to play so I put it off til this past winter. Anyway after doing the 1Le rotor to hub modification and then mocking it up to the spindle I found that when I put the inner and outer bearings in with the washer and castle nut and just snug it tight. I'm getting about a 1/2" of play by sliding the modified 1Le hub back and forth on the stock spindle. Is this normal or what?

Re: Spindle hub play?

just an update, I was using the wrong outer bearings which were my old stock bearings. I picked up the 1Le bearings and everthing fits like a glove.
