rear brake question

I was wondering on the rear where the brake lines split apart if they have to be the same length on each side. Also i have bought line loc and was wonder if anyone on here has them installed and can post some pics. Is it legal to use a flexible rubber hose if so what can i use.

Brake lines do not have to be equal length.

As for brake hoses they are strong enuff but that doesn’t mean a particular racing association will call them legal.

Hopefully a drag racer will be able to answer you.

Why not simply purchase new hard lines?

The brake line can be whatever size you want it to be, as long as you keep the master cylinder topped off with fluid you will have immediate and continuous pressure applied to the brakes when you apply the pedal.

I'm pretty sure that rubber brake lines have to be DOT rated, I'm not 100% on this though.

I agree with JamesC just buy new hard lines, they should be cheap. just installed the SLP line loc kit on my 91 it was real simple, the hardest part was running the wires lol
