brake line size

im putting on all new fuel and brake lines on. the car was a MPFI v6 now its a 383 carb with mechanical pump so should i get a new fuel line size? i think the stock fuel lines are 3/8 and the brake lines are 5/16? and what would be the best material aluminum lines, steel, stainless steel, or blue and red anodized aluminum. i just dont want the lines looking rusty or oxidized after a month its a nice wheater only show car.

The brake lines are metric with bubble flares. There are lots of places you can order them premade in either steel or stainless (like inlinetube or finelines). Aluminum is too soft.

Re: brake line size

get stainless hardlines. I bought a set from finelines a while back. that way they will never rust again.

they make all of the lines for the car.
