Hey, I've noticed recently that when I break theres a loud popping noise.
It's especially noticeable when I'm going slow - then again it might just be the absence of driving noise.
If I really gently ease into the break it doesn't do it.
It is definitely rather loud.
I have a 9bolt posi rear end with discs - not the original 10bolt drums.
It sounds like it's coming from the rear but once again I can't be positive.
Thanks for any help.
k I will, I'm actually not 100% sure now as I was doing it slowly next to a building yesterday to try to get a better idea but I really couldnt tell if it was front or back, I think I'll have someone get into my car and do it and I'll just try to find the sound.
Yup, sounds like caliper bolts. My brothers grand prix just had this happen, one came lose allowing the caliper to move .1" with the bolt still in but it was noticeable and is now fixed. Check them out.

I have the same problem mostly on the driver side. I noticed this right after I changed my brake pads. I get a small pop when slowing to a stop and a bigger one when braking hard. I will check the calipers hopefully this does fix the problem.
