questions regarding WS6 rims

i own a 86 trans am. i'm looking at an ad for a pair of WS6 rims that i really want, but the ad mentions that they are location specific, ill paste from ad:
"IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THEM, YOU WILL KNOW THAT THEY ARE LOCATION SPECIFIC.TWO FIT ONLY FRONT,AND TWO FIT ONLY REAR.REAR HAVE DIFFERENT OFFSET BECAUSE OF REAR DISC BRAKE."

my car has 4 wheel disc brakes, is this going to be a problem for me? these are not the gold spoke GTA rims, just the nicer WS6 rims. I am on the look for the center caps of my rims, but this set comes complete and the price is in my budget

not sure if my car is WS6 or not, actually i dont really mind. I just like these rims and want info on it.

my car is a 305, auto, hardtop, posi rear, 4 wheel disc breaks, electrical everything inside,no ws6 badges anywhere, if any of this info helps

thanks in advance. im not sure where to post so i'll try this forum and another as well

Re: questions regarding WS6 rims

All the WS6 (and iroc/Z28 16" rims) have a different offset in the back. They will fit your car fine.

Re: questions regarding WS6 rims

Are they crosslace wheels, regardless of black/gold/gray?

Bottom line is on all the OEM 16" wheels is.....
The fronts will fit all 4 corners (but were designed for the front & marked accordingly on the back) and the rears will only fit the rears (an again, are marked on the back.

While everyone keeps calling them 'WS6 wheels', that is only because they were required on WS6 suspension cars. WS6 is the suspension. No ifs/ands or buts about it. The WS6 name has just stuck, over the years.

Crosslaces are actually RPO code PW7.

A 3rd gen could get PW7 wheels, without WS6. But one could not get WS6 without PW7. Not all crosslace equipped cars, are WS6 equipped cars.

i knew i could get answers around here! so while waiting for answers I started searching around and I found many people being corrected for saying ws6 rims. I only called them that because of the center caps saying ws6

Re: questions regarding WS6 rims

Those are the "Formula" wheels.

Possible that they were on a car with WS6 suspension, or somebody just put the WS6 logo'd caps on them. All the caps are the same. Just a matter of which emblem is on them.

Typically, people have a hard time getting rid of those. Judging by the rivets/bolts on the outer ring, I wonder if they are 15" wheels? I know there is a 15" version of the crosslaces, that have those rivets/bolts....And are 15".

I'm not real up on the Formula wheels, so I could be wrong on the 15" thing.
