OK Ive been going over smaller things before I swap my engine and my front brakes are pressed completely up against the rotor and i can hardly turn the wheel. Also if i go to press my brake pedal it is really hard and only goes down just a little and no further no matter how hard i push. the car has been sitting for about 6 years and when I pulled it home behind my truck it rolled OK and my back brakes seem to be ok and i can turn the drums. I have done a search and couldn't find another thread with this problem. Where are the valves to bleed my back brakes? Is it there the white cap is above the brake line on the backing plate? there is nothing there when i take the cap off.
If your front brakes were stuck, you wouldn't be able to turn the wheels by hand. If the car has been sitting for six years, the rotors are probably just rusty, making the wheels difficult to turn, nothing to worry about.
Is the brake pedal hard to push while the car is running? Brake pedals are hard to push on all vehicles with power brakes while the vehicle isn't running.
The bleeder for the brakes is right above the brake line on drum brakes.
a common enough problem , could be all of the above . BUT , more likely than not it's front flex brake lines . they collapse internally and act like check valves . not allowing press. to relieve . ( happened to me ) remove lines & replace . note that they are keyed to mounting brackets lt. & rt. . ( another , it happened to me ) i ended up buying 3 instead of 2 . you may want to consider changing the rear flex line also . good luck .
I just solved this problem on my new IROC vert, that had sat for 11 years. Front right brake was stuck, I had to beat the caliper off of the rotor with a hammer, literally like 30-50 smacks. I replaced both front rubber lines, calipers, and new pads, and bled the system now it works flawlessly. Calipers are cheap enough, around $10 with a $10 core, not bad, always replace in pairs.

thats good to know. i bought one caliper, good point to replace both. but im going to try one first see if it helps. but then replace the other one. did you get your calipers at autozone?
* i replaced the master cylinder. it was bad. but its good now
