Hey Everyone...I just picked up a project car (1988 GTA, 4 wheel disc, 5.7, auto) All stock but sitting in a field for 10 years!
I will probably have a ton of questions but here is my first....The brake pedal goes to the floor and needless to say little to no brakes. I put the car on jacks, and cracked all the bleeder screws. I was able to bleed the back brakes without issue, but the fronts (both sides) when I completely remove the bleeder screw, no fluid comes out. The Master Cylinder is full. If i pump the brakes, nothing comes out. WHere is the first place to look? I am guessing master cylinder is bad or proportioning valve? any help would be appreciated. BTW car has 60K original miles, digital dash, etc. loaded so I want to put it back to new...thanks...
its possible, and quite likely, that the issue is the front rubber flex lines. They tend to rot and deteriorate on the inside and stop fluid from traveling through them. See if you can get them off the hardlines and see if you have fluid at the hardlines.
