In the process of disassembling a set of rear pbr calipers for a rebuild, I noticed one of the "parking brake levers" on one of the calipers has the tip broken off. I also have a small "collar return spring" stuck on the the other caliper. Before I get too involved in the rebuild, I was wondering if these parts could be ordered from GM. I've found rebuild kits online, but can't seem to find these parts. Can I just order these parts from a dealership? Reading through my shop manual, it seems like all parts could be ordered, I'm just not too sure where to get the parts from. GM dealership seems like the most logical choice. Any GM sites online I can order from or should I just head down to the dealership? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot

Are the 4th gen rear pbr brakes identical to 3rd gen pbr's, just in a different caliper housings? I've seen pics online of 4th gen calipers and the parking brake lever looks exactly the same. It also looks like the collar return springs are identical. Just might have to go check the local parts store and see first hand.

The 93-97 PBR's are nearly identical (sometimes the calipers don't have fins and there's a rubber anti-vibration device).

Here has been my experience with these PBR caliper parts. GM has NOTHING left on the shelves, except I think the nut for the e-brake lever stud. However, if you go to your local AC Delco dealer and very nicely and patiently ask them to search their warehouses, they may be able to find the parts. I recently (6 months ago) purchased a bunch of parts for these calipers. It was all parts for the e-brake lever, the stud, rubber boot and the sprag clip. They were not cheap, but you can get them if your parts person knows what they're doing. I actually brought in my factory manual in so they could have all the numbers right there. Good luck.
I've got what you need both used and new. LMK what you need.

Excellent! I was just about to pick up an early 4th gen PBR caliper off ebay for parts. I need a parking brake lever, since the tip appears to be broken on one of mine. If I could get a collar return spring too that would be even better. I've got a spring stuck in a freshly blasted housing and it's driving me crazy. Everything looks super clean with the exception of one crappy *bleeping* spring I've been dying to rip off! I'll shoot you a PM. Got a couple questions.
Thanks for the help guys, it's much appreciated.

Hey Ed, did you ever get my PM? On top of the parking brake lever and collar return spring, I want to purchase a set of modified spindles for a C5 brake kit. Saw that the site was having troubles last week and I was wondering if you even got the message. Thanks
