new rear disk brakes

I just bought some new rear disk brakes to put under an old chevy truck.
My question is this. The calipers are the same stock number for both sides, that means they are idenitical in apperance, when the caliper is installed on the passinger side the bleader screw is on the bottom, How do you bleed the system when the bleader is on the bottom??
Help, what is wrong

Not exactly thirdgen related, but what the hell

Fill the caliper with fluid before you mount it. Connect it to the brake line first if its a hard line. If it has a rubber line, connect the rubber line, then turn it so the bleeder screw is up and remove it. Fill the caliper through the bleeder screw. Mount and pump the pedal several times before opening the bleeder screw. You won't get 100% of the air out, but this should get you damn close.

Re: new rear disk brakes

If they're the cast iron calipers, which were pre-89 IIRC, the same piece was used on both sides. Backing plates place one on the front side of the axle, and the other on the rear.

Check out the backing plates on this axle I pulled from an 83 Trans Am.
