Doing the front c5 brakes and rear ls1 setup real soon, and want to know if the stock lines will fit or screw in while I upgrade them? I do want to get the Earl's lines, but just want to know if I should buy Earl's 3rd gen lines, or get the c5 front lines and rear ls1 lines. Thanks guys!
Your front lines will probably work. I had some braided lines on the stock front brakes before I went with the C5 setup, and used those same lines.
I can't answer for the rear, I had the cast iron calipers with hard lines attached to them. I had to cut and flare them to fit my LS1 brackets for the flex lines.
For the rear LS1 setup, stock LS1 lines or braided replacement LS1 lines will work on a 4th gen rear. A 3rd gen rear being about 2" narrower on each end makes for a nasty bend in the flex line. I had some made locally at a hydraulic hose shop.
Blind Driver, a couple of links to my upgrades, they've been posted before.
How about posting the links for this fine modification?
I'm doing my brakes soon
I'm just waiting on getting all the parts together to spend a weekend on the mod. I'll document my progress and post it on here.
I also have a bender and I can easily get a flaring tool from my buddy who owns a crapstang shop. It'll probably be easier to to take it to his shop so I can use his lift. He'll let me use it no charge for as along as I want.
atre you planning to get a 4th gen rear, or just swap the brakes? If you are just swapping the brakes, depending on what you have now, disc/drums, your hardlines may need modification.
the 3rd gne drum lines are too long, and need to be shortened, or carefull bend a loop in them to shorten them. Also, IIRC, the 3rd gen pbr disc flex lines are 2 different sizes, one longer than the other. They will still work, but i dont think they will fit into the 4th gen brake brackets that connect ot the LCA mount and hold the connection of the flex lnes to the hard lines.

"fool proof, yes. idiot proof, no."
I probably should have described my current setup in the begining, lol, sorry. I'm keeping the stock rear, so I'm just swapping brakes and I do have drums. I actually found a complete 4th gen rear brake setup from a 2000 z28 off of ebay for what I thought was a great price: calipers (with good pads), rotors, lca brackets, e-brake cables, flex lines, and backing plate. Yeah, I figured I had to modify the hard lines in the rear, which is no problem. The only tool I really need to do brakes is the flarring tool. I think my real concern is with the stock lines up front fitting on the c5 calipers. What do you think? You guys are awesome! Thanks a bunch.

Probably the same setup I bought last year, probably the same seller too. The flex lines are just a tad too long for a 3rd gen rear. The ones I had made are the same length, but have a 90* fitting on them so that the bend they make isn't so radical.

Yeah, the seller had a few of these sets available, I was quite impressed with how good a condition everything was in. I'm thinking of having the calipers powder coated.

Trans Am Creations run by seller firehawkjeff. One of my backing plates came with a broken e-brake lever, I called them and had them send me a new lever. I ordered one from Ed Miller here also (just in case), now I have a spare. Overall good product and a rather straight-forward conversion for me. I would order from them again. I cleaned the calipers real good and painted them red with caliper paint.
