Help! Brake failure from car sitting?
Hey all,
So although I've replaced various other components on my Firebird, it seems I might be running into brake trouble now. Truth be told, the car hasn't actually been driven, other than moving it a few feet, since last fall, so probably 8 months or so. Stopping wise, it was working fine when it was parked, but I tried to drive it tonight, and it had poor stopping power, and a grinding sound, like that of brakes in desperate need of changing, and it's never done it before. I'm just wondering if it's possible for the brakes to somehow fail from the car just sitting? Anything I should try first? Or is it new brake time?
