PBR brakes from 4th gen on my '91?

I've been reading here for a while trying to wrap my brain around this and have a fair idea of what I'd have to do in order to swap out the rear drum for the PBR rear discs. I have a 3-part question.

1. I got a quote from a boneyard that has a '99 camaro with all 4 PBR brakes and they want $120 for all 4 calipers, rotors, e-brake cable and proportioning valve. Is that a good price?

2. Are the parts listed above all that I'll need to pull from the donor car? I know I'll need to get a mounting/adapter bracket to mount the rears. Will I need anything else?

3. Should I swap out the front discs as well?

Photos of parts in question:

Will I need this next part? Not sure if it's the ABS unit or not, hoping someone will enlighten me on this. Couldn't find the proportioning valve, guessing it's hidden beneath master cylinder.

Or the master cylinder and/or booster?

Any and all help and info are welcomed and appreciated.

You'll want the mounting bracket for the rear calipers. The fronts I don't think will fit at all, but I'm not sure about that.

The proportioning valve is integrated into the ABS module, so you will need one from a thirdgen with disc rears. That is what your 5th pic is of. Or you can change the spring in your current one. There's threads on here listing the part number of the needed spring and instructions on how to install it.

I would buy new rear rotors. The ones in the pics are pretty worn, and the one is scored pretty badly.

You won't need the 4thgen ebrake cables either. They won't fit your car without a lot of modifications. Again, there are lots of threads on here on getting the proper ebrake cables for your car.

Thanks for pointing out that I'll need the mounting brackets for the rear calipers. I had overlooked that.

You mean this thread https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/brak...e-upgrade.html talking about the Grainger 1NCR5 spring upgrade? If so, I'm getting ready to order a pack.

They are pretty chewed up, huh? New rotors are definitely in order.

Will changing out the rear brakes leave me with no e-brakes, or will this not affect them at all? This is probably the thing I least understood in the threads that I've read. I know a rear-end change requires the e-brake cable to be replaced/modded/etc, but don't know if changing rear drum to disc will affect it.

Front or rear you will want to measure (mic up) rotor thickness and compare with minimum
thickness's stamped on rotors. Getting rotors that have been re-surfaced (cut) a couple will render them paperweights!

On the spring - yes, that is the thread I was referring to.

On the ebrakes - yes, changing from drum to disc will leave you without working ebrakes. The drum ebrake cables are not compatible with the disc calipers. You will need ebrake cables for rear disc brakes. I am still trying to figure out which cables I need for my own Camaro.

Here is what I am sure of -

There are 2 sets of ebrake cables available
One set of cables are longer than the other, by about 26mm
Determining which set you need is based on the adjustment mechanism of your original ebrake system
Neither set of cables seem to work on my 92 using the stock routing

Thanks for the replies, gents. I have been doing lots of reading on here, but sometimes I have trouble putting all that info together. Your comments and replies really help me to "get it". I really appreciate the time you all take to share your knowledge with the less experienced, like me.
