Car: 1966 El Camino Custom Engine: 350 Transmission: 200 4R Axle/Gears: 3:75 12 bolt with Brute Strength | Oh yeah....pull the transmission pan and it's got the gold internals indicating it's shares internals with the HD Corvette 700R4. It will shift into 4th at full throttle. I made an error on the stall speed.....it's 2400 rpm. It also has a B&M ratchet shifter and a high dollar Fluid dampner hanging off the end of the steel crank.
This is not a easy sale for this guy. He just bought a Z06 and the better half allowed it only if the IROC and his street rod would pay for the majority of the purchase. |

Car: 1966 El Camino Custom Engine: 350 Transmission: 200 4R Axle/Gears: 3:75 12 bolt with Brute Strength | Keep after it. Especially if it's the same year, an original 5.7 with Speed Density TPI. They are a fairly rare car and certainly worth collecting. There was a low mileage 1990 1LE that went for nearly 50 grand on Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale. Certainly blew me away. Granted the car was perfect, it did show that third gens are coming into the spotlight as collectables. My 85 IROC gets thumbs up from the younger generation all the time. In an era where so many cars look alike, the third gen stands out. |

Car: 1966 El Camino Custom Engine: 350 Transmission: 200 4R Axle/Gears: 3:75 12 bolt with Brute Strength | I can arrange to have more taken and sent to your e-mail address. The interior is near perfect. I would rate it as 94 or 95 out of 100. Save for maybe a little...and I mean a little carpet wear, it looks new. The strict garage conditions, window tinting, dash cover and louvers really did a great job of preserving the interior. |

Car: 1966 El Camino Custom Engine: 350 Transmission: 200 4R Axle/Gears: 3:75 12 bolt with Brute Strength | Just checked with the owner. As stated, the car was repainted. He purchased new decals from GM and in the package was the instuctions for proper installation, as well as placement. The IROC placement pictured is correct for a 1990 IROC, the only year where the decal placement was altered from previous years. Now we both learned something.......

We got a motivated seller....$7800.

We got a motivated seller....$7800. | As an owner of a 1990 IROC I can tell you that he is wrong. IROC-Z was at the rear of the door as the other guy said earlier.
1985-1987 the IROC-Z was at the front of the door
1988-1990 the IROC-Z was at the rear of the door
HTH.

Car: 1966 El Camino Custom Engine: 350 Transmission: 200 4R Axle/Gears: 3:75 12 bolt with Brute Strength | Yup...your correct. The placement of the decal is wrong.
Lets hope that something that minor doesn't diminish from this great car. |
