I special ordered this car from Tom Parsell Chevrolet in Charleston, SC, now Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in March 1987 and received it in May 1987.
This car was the first year for the TPI and 5 speed and will definitely be a project for somebody, but it has all the right performance options.
5.0L TPI 215 HP version.
optional 3.45 rearend(9 bolt)
Limited slip
Engine Oil Cooler.
4 wheel discs.
Custom Cloth
A/C
Delco AM/FM cassette
Low option car with crank windows, no cruise, no power door locks, no tilt.
206,000 miles. All original, never been modified.
Interior is rough.
Bright blue metallic.
Bare metal repaint in '93 by GM, but paint is starting to fade.
Dent in right rear quarter.
Front bumper and leading edge of hood need paintwork.
The whole car will need to be repainted even though the paint on the sides
is glossy.
Here is what it needs:
Clutch: 101,000 miles on it and slipping. This clutch was installed in '94 @ 105,000 miles.
Plugs.
Primary cooling fan not working, secondary does.
Power steering pump leaking.
A/C not working. Compressor was leaking.
Rear seal leaks if not driven frequently.
Front struts.
Rear Hatch motor runs, but doesn't work properly so I have pulled fuse.
Struts on rear hatch and hood are shot.

Car has been used rarely since 1999.

Have the original window sticker somewhere.
Rotors and pads replaced less than 10,000 miles ago.
Radiator is for a 5.7L.
Engine is all original except new valve guides installed at 11,000 miles, under warranty.
