I am the third owner. This car has 140,xxx miles and I have been responsible for the time period covering 111,000 miles to now. I want $3500 or a serious offer, and heres the skinny:
T-Tops, G92 performance code in VID.
Original 5.7 TPI, 140k on the ticker now. Still runs strong, and likely a great candidate for a rebuild. Does not burn oil.
700R4 has been refreshed and rebuilt 25,000 miles ago. This included a new 1800 TC, trans-go shift kit, heavy duty clutch packs, and a very conservative govenor setup to allow manual shifting. Also a great candidate for more serious work.
Rearend seems ok, has never given me a problem. I had fresh redline fluid put in around 120,000 miles.
The bottomline: My baby needs someone with more time and money. I can't stand to neglect it and therefore I am moving on for now. The interior needs some work, theres platic trim missing in a few places and no backseats. The exterior needs a new paintjob. The car runs strong still but needs some attention without a doubt. Will have pictures soon!!!
Pictures. You want to know just ask and you'll get perfect unadultered honesty. No secrets here.
The passenger door is NOT original to this car. Passenger door needed replacement after a nasty pole scrape in a small casino parking garage. The quarter panel thats primed IS still the original piece, reworked by a competent body guy. The positive side to it is that the replacement door fits tighter than the original did before the scrape.
You can see the pastic trim is missing from the t-top mechanisms, a-pillars, door sills etc. The backseat removal is complete all the way down to the seatbelt retracters. The ECM has stuff on it - infamous thirdgen heatercore leak. Some on carpet as well.
The midconsole is messed up, the plastics and stuff are beaten. The CD player totally does NOT work. The door handles are warped like many others you've seen from this year due to the cheap adhesives used + Las Vegas heat.
The dashmat is really nice and the dashboard itself is in VERY nice condition. One very small hair fracture, near driver side corner.
One fan is controlled via a button - a band aid for a bad relay. Goes without saying one fan has a bad relay and does not run.
The tint is SHOT. The weathersealing still works but is all beat up on t-tops. The t-tops are ok. I have the case for them still too.
Passenger front wheel has a small curb rash and is missing Iroc midcap... came off last year somehow. Other than that the wheels were repolished in a shop around 100K... they clean up very nice and look great still.
The pictures speak for the exterior. Any questions just ask
I focus on the negative in my descriptions. Positive points are the subframe connectors, straight body, tough transmission, front seats in good condition. The problems with this car are strictly minor. Its an awesome candidate for a more serious engine or some tender loving repairs.
I also have a nice set of polyurethane bushings, brand new Pure Energy. I'll throw the box in the hatch and forget about them.
