MODDED IROC ROLLER

I'm guaging interest in my 1985 IROC Camaro without motor. It is currently my daily driver but I want to put my expensive motor in my Cobra Kit. I have a nice 5.7 to drop in but have reached a fork in the IROC road. Do I finish the car and keep it....or do I sell it as a roller while the motor is out and come closer to realizing my real dream in the Cobra?

So here goes.....The car has a rebuilt five speed with new clutch assembly. It's got T-tops. One dent on the passenger side. Not huge or structurally damaged but it's there. One small dent on the drivers front...small. Some minor rust on under the T-tops that will require some sanding and repainting. I was planning on sanding and using POR15 to reseal since it is not a portion of the car that you can see. In fact, that's how the rust began. It was an unusually rainy summer in Alb and I never took the tops down and the rust monster snuck up on me. It's minor but it needs attention. Otherwise the chassis is rust free. The interior is in very good shape with only minor scuffing on the driver's carpet and driver's door. Electric everything including seats. Everything is red.

The chassis is modded. Global West Comp springs, Bilstein shocks, Global West Del-alum bushings, GTA wheels with Toyo Proxies...fronts near new, rears with 25% left. Spohn control arms with sperical ends, Edelbrock adjustable panhard bar, Hotchkis subframe connectors and Hotchkis STB (SFC and STB still in packages right now), 1LE light weight spare tire and filler, completely rebuild rear end with Auburn posi, Moser axles, ARP studs, TA billet cover, Richmond 4:11 gears. Plus the usual IROC stuff...big sway bars, quick ratio steering and wonder bar. New battery. Energy Suspension poly motor and transmission mounts. Earls brake lines. New brakes all around with alum. drums in the rear.

I can send pictures. I can sell it as a roller for $1600 as soon as next weekend with everything less motor but including transmission...simply drop your motor in. Presently the car is carbed and is daily driven. The stock TPI and harness is packed away and can be given to new owner. Let me know. Send e-mail address for pics.

Oh yeah....new Hedman headers with a full 3" exhaust to a Flowmaster Series 40. Grant steering wheel and a Spohn transmission crossmember with driveshaft loop set up for a Spohn torque arm which I do not have.

Personally I think you are better off to put the 5.7 into the IROC because ultimately it will be a much more usable
and fun ride.

The cobra will be a saturday night special. You are not going to leave that anywhere unattended if you want to keep it long, besides it should have a ford 2x4 427 side oiler for real excitement.

Just my 2 cents.

Here's some pictures. Many more available to someone interested or I can take some to target a certain concern. The dash is already coming apart in the interior shot as the motor gets ready to come out.
