I'm selling an '89 Camaro RS that I've had for a few years now.
It's a rust-free southern Tennessee car w/ T-tops.
* 2.8L (V6) Multi Port Fuel Injection w/ 125,000 miles on the odometer.
* 5-speed manual transmission
* 3.42:1 rear gears
* 16" IROC (5-star) rims/tires are on it now (different than pictured below)
$1,500
It has a dent (softball sized) in the driver's door, and could use an interior headliner... other than that, the paint on the front bumper cover is peeling/faded also.
Will consider partial trades... but, prefer cash.
Will ship the vehicle IF buyer arranges/pays shipping/hauling costs.
Here's how it sits w/ the new IROC rims on it... taken today 12/13/06.
Price remains at $1,250... I will entertain trades + cash also...
(computers, laptops, dirtbikes, big block Chevy parts, etc.)
Rust-free (rott-free), never seen salt or Winter Tennessee car here... great platform for a V8 transplant, or drive it how it is... good runner.
**Don't ask me to give this car away... no ridiculous offers please !
I have a 383 stroker engine sitting on the stand just getting ready to go in this bad boy, should it not sell.
Whoa man! Thats a sweet looking car you got there. I just wrecked my 86 in Franklin Ky on the way to Ft Campbell this past monday and Im looking for a new Camaro. Im extremely interested in this car you have here. Hows the trans doing? Any grinding? Would it be possible to get some interior shots? Im in CT till the 27th of this month then Ill be back down there and Id have cash in hand if everythings good. Let me know man.
I have some BBC parts - crank, rods, pistons, oil pan, Chevy heartbeat valve covers and a set of bare oval port 292 heads with new seals and blasted/checked. I think I have a GM steel manifold. The rotating assembly has been sitting for a while. Pistons probably aren't usable - crank and rods should be. Crank will need turned. It's all original GM stuff from the early 70s. Heads are from a 72 big block Chevelle.
I also have 2 SUN Computers - a Ultra 2 and an Ultra 60. I have a compaq Armada M700 laptop that works fine, but my son scratched the screen with a tac - very usable still - I still use is occasionally - had LINUX on it at one point. Battery needs replaced. has a 802.11g card. I also have a few older pentuim 3 PCs that all work just fine. I have an 19" PC monitor and a 19" SUN Monitor. I have bunches of stuff including networking gear.
I'm willing to trade you all my BBC parts and my extra PCs and UNIX workstations, plus some of my SBC chevy parts for your car. I have SBC cranks, rods, bearings, oil pumps, flex plates, starters, etc - everything but pistons. I'll even throw in a complete 1969 327 (carb to pan) that should run good - very little wear on engine. I have well over $1000 worth of parts and PCs - probably double that.
As you can tell, I have a bunch of stuff laying around in my pole barns and basement and I want to get rid of it. I have 3 other Camaros, a couple more 350s, a 400, lots of 1st gen parts, some 2nd gen camaro parts, and some other 3rd gen parts. Figure I would make the offer to save me the EBay hassle.
I didn't notice the 70z at first that looks a little empty in the front I do have a 73 010 350 short block from a 73 Camaro with no noticable cylinder wear that would go nicely with the 70z. If you want to stay small block but a little larger, I have a stock bore 400 4 bolt block/crank/rods that easily could be a 406 or a high RPM 377. I guess it's still not as good as a nice big block, but pretty easy to get 400hp and a little different than the usual 355 or 383.
