1991 Camaro Z28 LS1 M6 For Sale!!!

1991 Camaro Z28 Hardtop (Original G92, 305, 5spd car) Maroon exterior and light gray interior.

-California Car, No Rust!!!

-1998 LS1 engine and M6 transmission

-1998 Fuel tank

-New Warlbro fuel pump (didn't cut the car to put it in, I dropped the tank)

-All the 98 OBD2 smog equipment (EVAP, Cats, 4 O2 sensors, etc)

-State ref. certification declaring it CA SMOG LEGAL

-Custom cut and balanced aluminum driveshaft with new u-joints

-Currie Enterprise Ford 9 inch rear end, iron nodular case with 4.10 gears and a Goldtrak posi unit (all recently rebuilt)

-GM crossdrilled and slotted durastop rotors in the rear

-Baer Track kit brakes up from (13" rotors I believe) Slotted and crossdrilled, steel braided brake lines, etc

-Spohn Panhard bar (adjustable), Spohn lower rear control arms (poly/poly)

-Random Technology adjustable torque arm

-Eibach Sportline springs 2" drop in the front, with stock 91 springs in the back

-New ball joints and poly bushing in front A-Arms

-Vintage wheel works V45 17x9.5 wheels with
275/40/17 tires (no spacers needed and the inner fenders aren't cut to fit them either)

-Flowmaster cat-back with 3" exhaust tips straight out the back

-Stock 91 K-Member notched for A/C (also has compressor off the car that can be installed)

-Speartech designed wireharness (complete plug and play)

-Custom engine and transmission mounts for the swap

-New rear hatch motor

The car has been very trouble free and served as a great daily driver for me over the last two years. As far as things wrong with the car there isn't much

-Front spoiler has classic 3rd gen rash

-Drivers seat shows some wear

-Car has an exhuast leak right now (Personally I'd so a set of longtubes and new y-pipe)

-Rear windown needs to be re-tinted

-The car has the classic 91 paint problems on the roof and hood. However it polishes out really well.

I don't think overall anyone would be dissapointed with the car. My father and I did a top notch install and theres alot of stuff you won't find on other hybrid cars that show we took the extra step. To have this swap done you're looking at about $10,000 for just the install, then you still need a donor car. Plus you still won't have the brakes, rear-end, etc...

I do have reciepts for almost everything! If you have anymore questions or anything just e-mail or call me. I'm looking to get $15,000 or best offer for the car.

Thanks,
Brad

Thank you for sharing all your hard work, nicely done!

Is the Red/Black '92 Z03 Z28 also yours, looks like it just left the factory?

Thanks,
Eric

Thanks! Yes the red car used to be mine along with the black 1LE next to it. However I sold them both (they were super nice cars) Both media blasted to bare metal and re-painted, etc etc. The LSx cars in the back I used to own too, I just picked up a wrecked 2000 Firehawk yesterday too. (Always something going on, haha)

I used the 98 Fuel tank, EVAP setup, 98 Cats, 4 O2 Sensors, etc etc. Then I took it to the state ref with pics from doing it all along and he looked at it. Then he smogged it and loved the car and gave me my sticker. I've re-smogged since then too and no problems passing.

You are more then welcome Brad and I already do. I just talked to your dad and thanked him also, he was a big part of this whole deal and helping you build the car as well. I thank you both for being patient and working through this with me, it was tough waiting this long.

For those who read this, Brad and his father are both stand up guys. Brad was willing to go above and beyond to make this deal happen. He was willing to fly across the country on his own coin to hand deliver the title to me and take the payment and also help with the shipping cost if need be. There are not many people like that out there any more. The car is in good hands and will be well taken care of. I appreciate the work you both have done and will treat it with that respect just because I wish my dad would have been more " fatherly " and done a project like this with me. Thanks again and I will call you when the title shows up Thursday.

Jason

AZ - Brad told me that is factory paint. He sent me other pics of it and it does look a bit different color in them. must be the way the sun was hitting the car.

Update - I received the car Monday and there were no surprises with it at all and it runs great. Even easing into the throttle it is hard to keep the tires from spinning in first and second gear.

Stangtamer, where at in PA are you. I'd love to see this car. It looks incredible and sounds done right. I've missed my '88 IROC since I got rid of it 10 years ago. I'd love to set one up like this. I'm in the Harrisburg area.

Quick question for either the buyer or seller of this car... how do you insure it?

I'm currently having trouble insuring my camaro kit car, since the insurance company won't insure the car for more than the blue book value of a 1988 camaro (or in your case, a 1991 Camaro).

I'm just worried that if my car gets stolen, the insurance people give me 2k instead of the 14k I've spent.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I'm only 22. I haven't found an insurance company yet that will cover somebody as young as me- the cutoff is usually 26.

If you guys know of one, I'll give you my first born, lol. This is the only thing standing between me and keeping my kit car (I'm gonna sell it if I can't insure it).

i feel for u then. i was in ur same boat. my car was eligible, but since i wasnt 25 for 9 more months, i was s.o.l. till i turned 25. ur best bet for now is talk to ur insurance company and c if u cant add "extras" to ur policy to compensate if something happens.

I just have it on my regular insurance right now so I only get book value if something happens to it. I looked into collectable vehicle insurance and since I don't have a garage they won't insure it. Otherwise I wouldn't have a problem. Just keep all your receipts and if anything just hold onto the car until you can insure it the way you want to. If you have a garage to keep it in though try this place, my buddy has his insurance through them and he pays something like $400/year with his car valued at $14,000.00. The place is American Bankers Insurance Company, the number is 1 800 360 2277. Age shouldn't matter if your regular company will insure you. Let us know how it works out for you.

Hop, I am near Allentown. Sorry, but I don't really want to have someone over at my house I don't know showing them my car, hopefully this doesn't offend you. Now if you plan on going to Super Chevy this summer we may be able to get together and I will show it to you.

No offense taken. I was figuring I would be able to see it at a cruise night or show anyway. Well I'll have to see if I can make it to Super Chevy this year, seems like either poor weather or a hectic schedule keeps me from shows and seat time. Enjoy your new ride.

Rossi - I am taking it you are a guy or maybe it is just because I just got home from work and it is 2:30 a.m. but, if you are a guy, there is no chance in hell I am having your babies. Now if you are a female and my girlfriend allows it, aaaaah never mind LOL.

Hop - If you want to hit up a cruise night some time let me know, they start in about another month or so around here. There is a pretty good one down here at Pep Boys in Quakertown. I am just uptight about my cars, especially this one being it is my dream car as far as what is done to it. I am not saying you would try to but I don't know you, but I would hate for someone to try and steal it because then I would have to hunt them down with my 45, once again not trying to offend you, I just went through a lot to get this car and never thought it would be possible and it happened. If you want to get together for a cruise night though just send me a pm or email me at stangtamer89@yahoo.com.

What night is the cruise night at the pep boys? Hopefully a Friday or Saturday as it is about a two hour drive for me each way but it will be worth it the car. I wanted my buddy to do a ls1/m6 conversion to the '84 Z28 I sold him but he went the stroker/th350 rout instead. I'll keep an eye out for the cruise nights coming up, cant wait to get out and bang some gears soon. My car has been stored since early November.

I forget when the Pep Boys cruise night is, I think last year they may have had them on a Friday or Saturday night but the year before they were on a Sunday night. There is a place called Starters Pub on Rte. 378 that has them too but they are usually the first Sunday of every month. Friday night are bad for me though, I work until 1 a.m.

Well, I checked with American Collectors insurance (the company whose phone number was listed a few posts up) - no luck. You need to have had a license for 10 years before you can be covered, and since the driving age is 27 in Jersey, that puts the minimum at 27.

This stinks. I'll probably sell my car when I finish it since I don't really feel comfortable driving it uninsured against collision or theft.

Keep looking into it. Here is my question to you. After you have done all the work do you really want to sell it just for someone else to enjoy ? If you have a safe place to store the car and it isn't really costing you anything then why not keep it ? Sure it sucks not being able to drive the car even though you could if you want to, but you will still have it down the road. Another thing is to just take all the good parts off of it and make it almost stock again if that is a option. That way if something does happen to it you aren't at a total loss but if nothing does happen you just do the car when you are older and can insure it the way you want to. Just my $.02 on it but I can tell you this. I have wanted a car like the one I bought since I was 17, I'm 32 now and just finally got it a month ago. The wait is worth the reward sometimes. Good luck with what you do.
