1983 Z28 for sale [NJ] - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

I am selling an 83 Z28 (with t-tops) located in monmouth county NJ.

The car was a project for me and I am selling it because the inspection has expired and I don't have the resources, or time, to get it through as a daily driver. I'll include all details below:

*Currently running high on CO emissions (@2.27, 0.85 standard)
*Drivers side seat is partially loose

*The body is in good condition but could use new weather stripping
*Interior also in good condition with new headliner.
*The transmission has been rebuilt and has about 5000 miles on it (automatic 700R4).
*new stall Converter (I don't have the exact specs in front of me but it was between 2000 and 2500, wide range, i know, if interested i'll make sure to provide that data for you when i get to the paper work).
*Rebuilt 350 engine. (build sheet available)
*Holley 4 barrel street performance 600cfm carb.
*Hooker shorty headers
*Hooker cat back exhaust system (part #16811HKR)

Is the car not exempt from emissions this year? In Texas this is the year that 1983 becomes exempt from the emission police. I thought 25 years was pretty standard.

I only have $1500 now. But if you lower, give me a call at 302-393-6433. Also, I am living in Dover, DE. Do you know anything about the emissions here?

I believe 25 is standard but the car is only 23 years old. The process (at least in jersey) is applying for a waiver if total emissions repairs exceeds a $450 threshold (and it still won't pass) then they'll let it slide. It passes the first two tests (HC/NOx) just not the third lol.
