'86 LT1 IROC-Z for sale

I'm thinking of selling my baby for a TPI corvette. I'm in the military and as much as I'd like to keep this car I want a Corvette more...and dont want to part with my '94 383 SS clone to do it.

It's an '86 IROC-Z. It was originally a 305 TPI A4 car, now a 350 LT1/4L60-E car. Engine was just rebuilt and broken in, trans is a solid and leak free unit that was used from a '97 Camaro SS. Trans uses the stock speedo and has a VSS installed on the output shaft where the governor would be on a 700-R4 so both are internal and work as stock. Engine is a '95 F-body LT1, stock heads with new comp springs on stock retainers, locks and valves. Heads are unported. Intake base is an Accel TPI conversion intake base for an LT1 so yes, it has an TPI intake on it, but doesnt have the drawbacks of the older TPI technology. It also has a ported plenum, 52mm throttle body, OTVC plug wires, 1.6 roller rockers, cc305 (220/230 dur 114 LSA) cam, LT4 ED timing chain, AFPR, descreened MAF and hedman longtubes. Converter is a 2000 stall Corvette lockup converter. I was planning on keeping my SLP runners for it's replacement since there are stockers on there now (was planning on getting them ported). No distributor, it runs a vented optispark that has about 20k miles on it. Same on the water pump which has a discharge tube on the weephole to keep the opti dry. Has a Crane Hi-6R ignition I took off my '94 when I went with a Delteq. Motor runs great!

Car has tons of recent parts. New wiper motor module, grant steering wheel, autometer gages, B&M shifter, tons of new GM restoration parts listed below. Interior is dark carmine red and has minimal fade for a 21 year old car. Complete with functional overhead console and flashlight. Body is in great shape (8.5/9-10) and is getting painted as we speak using new GM stripes and emblems to OEM specs. Will be tinted following that 20%. It has stock grey IROC wheels on it and its bright red with t-tops. It has a clear FL title and hasnt been driven for 6 years, been a restomod ever since. Never had a spec of rust on it. sucks now that I'm getting it done I'm selling it

New parts:
heater core
wiper module
washer motor
brakes
master cylinder
gages
steering linkage and balljoints
shocks/struts
radiator
hood ornaments (GM)
emblems and decals (GM)
driver's door hinges (GM)
console lid (GM)
soffseal weatherstrip
walbro 255 fuel pump and AFPR
borla catback exhaust, custom Y, and hedman longtubes
trans has approx 70k
suspension is polyurethane, front coils chopped slightly
9 bolt rearend with 3.45 gears
1LE driveshaft with new joints
strut tower brace (unsure brand)
ignition switch
console switches
outer door handles
window motors
hatch pulldown
power antenna
radio is a GM monsoon headunit
trans cooler
A/C accumulator
new high speed fan from Monte Carlo SS (work GREAT)
stainless brake lines and speedbleeders
new front wheel bearings and races
front turn signal lenses

sure I'm forgetting more... will update as I remember, haha!

Car has it's flaws as of now and will be fixed over the next month. It has 6 speed pedals for a 6 speed that ended up going into my '94, so yes, it was set up for a manual. Chassis has 168k miles on it (145 speedo). I pulled the aftermarket lower control arms and panhard rod from it for my other car while it was sitting, it has stockers in there now. tops of the back seats are slightly faded (not bad) but the seats are in great shape for the age, and yes, the drivers power seat does work. Carpet is in good shape. It's had a couple of very small dents that were fixed and was repainted once before, long before I got it (was originally a black car if you check the RPO's and look under the door panels). It was in a minor front end accident in 1990 which probably prompted the repaint over the black ( still has the factory front fenders so it was minor). Will need tires very soon. These are very minor problems that will either be fixed by the time I come back (I'm on leave next month from Iraq) or that you wont notice unless you go looking for them. Would make a great car if someone wanted to finish it, some subframes, LCA's and PHR, and some tweaks here and there and the car would be good to go, make a nice DD IROC-Z.

Any interest in it? The car is in Tallahassee, FL. I dont have pics right now but I'm working on it...I've owned the car since 1998 and enjoyed every minute of driving it(up until the 305 gave up in 2001 lol) but it's time to move on I think.

$4500 FIRM.

Trying to round up the pics right now. I dont know if I brought them with me here... but if I do have them they are of the car with the old paint job and no motor. I'm trying to see if I can get someone to go take pics of it with the new motor in it but you might have to wait until I get home unfortunately. I know, it's kinda like I'm teasing
